$309k grant to restore Rembrandt’s Night Watch

Based in the Netherlands, the Rijksmuseum provides a representative survey of Dutch Art and history since the Middle Ages. Its collections comprise over one million items, including masterpieces by Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and Johannes Vermeer. Its Rijksmuseum American Fund granted $309,896 for the restoration of Rembrandt’s Night Watch, and to support two conservator positions and a fellowship for historical research into its collections.
