IPROSARUDE (Burundi), or Initiative for the Promotion of Rural Health and Development, was founded in 2010 to provide healthcare to rural communities.  In Burundi, a country of 11 million people, medical services are highly concentrated in urban areas, leaving millions without access to healthcare. The Friends of IPROSARUDE will support health services in eye care, dental care, and family planning for patients in rural areas.
