Based in Ghana, Practical Education Network (PEN) builds teacher capacity to improve learning outcomes in West Africa. PEN offers a series of workshops where STEM teachers learn, design and share hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering and math, leveraging low-cost, local materials. As COVID-19 closed schools, the Practical Education Network US Fund disbursed $25,000 to translate its teacher training program into digital modules.
