National Library of France renovates its historic home

Bibliothèque nationale de France is France’s oldest cultural organization, originating in 1368 as the Royal Library of Charles V. Over the next 650 years, it has grown into one of the world’s most prestigious libraries. The Friends of the National Library of France made two grants totaling over $1.4 million for the renovation of Richelieu – its historic home in an outstanding 17th century palace.
